It has been some time since I've linked to Weekend Reflections. This weekend while traveling our county roads and admiring the fall foliage I glanced out my passenger side window and asked hubby to pull over. As you can see from the reflection most of the trees in this area have dropped their leaves. The bright yellow leaves still clinging to the one lone tree added just the right amount of color to make the reflection pop.

just nice to see enough water in your area to make a good reflection! :)
My God! That is an awful lot of fallen leaves in the water, hope it doesn't clog the waterways.
Leaves sure clog the drains here in Brisbane and cause havoc.
The street here between my place and the rail station has some of the most wretched trees imaginable planted along the side. When we have storms (and they will come as summer approaches), when you get off the train, shoes are removed, pants rolled up and you wade through a swampland like area to get to your car and out of that darn street - oh so much fun, I think not - ha ha.
The street is named "Stukka" Avenue (nickname), the Indian Mynahs love these trees for nesting and attacking the pedistrians.
Cheers

great reflection. (:
Colin,
This is along a small creek up a very rural road. If the creek overflows it is into nearby fields and very normal for my area of the country. It's all natural surroundings.
Pretty!!
What lovely, colorful, watery reflections, Carletta!! I love them and the gold one is perfect! Terrific capture for the day and it's good to see you back!! Hope you have a great weekend!
Pretty, Carletta. How very nice of your husband to stop so you could take this photo! He's a keeper!
Super reflections. Neat thing about this is that it is in a small area.
Great reflection photo, Carletta. HA HA ---if Colin wonders about the leaves in that photo, he ought to see all of the leaves I blew and raked out of our yard this week... Yipes!!!!!
Have a good weekend.
Hugs
Betsy
Wonderful shot! Such a beautiful place!
Great reflections and great hubby to stop when you ask. I have to plead with mine. Often there is nowhere to pull off the road where there are good photo opportunities.
What a marvellous place to catch a reflection !
Good one Carletta. I love reflections in water. Not many leaves left up here, and with the questionable forcast for the next week, what is left will surely be gone.
Take care.
I love to see fallen leaves, but don't like bare trees much..I'm fickle like that. Nice capture!
This is a wonderful capture -- you have a great eye. The reflections are crisp and clear.
What a beautiful photograph. The yellow in the background lends just enough color to lift the mood of this scene.
Thanks so much for sharing with YSB this week.
I like the yellow leaves of the tree reflected in the water.
Love the flash of yellow leaves in the reflection of the water against all the browns...beautiful! Thanks for sharing this picture. Blessings, Nancy :)
great ca[tire!
Love seeing that lone yellow tree in the reflection...our leaves are basically gone now, too. Been really cool yesterday and today.
Joli,bravo !
Our leaves are almost all on the ground now too. Makes for a pretty photo!
A beautfully composed image, the reflection gives some lovely shapes.
Nice! I love this kind of spots. They are so fascinating.
Very nice. I love reflection pictures.
Lovely capture.
Ah, the pleasure of being a passenger. This shot tells a lot about the the fallen leaves and the "skinny" trunks!
Love the rich detail in the reflection!
Just beautiful! You have such a good eye -- the yellow leaves are perfect, just enough. Wonderful fall.
That's lovely Carletta, so glad you asked hubby to pull on over. They are very good at that aren't they ;) I'm wondering if you have gotten any snow out your way? I had heard you were due some but not sure where other than in West Virginia. Take care, we've got Sandy heading our way and should be in the thick of it by this evening. We were supposed to be getting company tomorrow for an overnighter but don't think that is going to happen now.
What a perfectly mirrored reflection? You know what? For all the different photographic tricks I've fooled around with, do you know how many shots of reflections I've accumulated? Hardly any. I just can't seem to catch a break that way. This one is really nice. Great job!
Lovely autumnal reflection... my husband stops a lot for me too! Thank you for sharing on Weekly Top Shot #54!
Beautiful! I hope you aren't snowed under or are without electricity as the storm has passed.
