While the taxi drivers were "looking out for me" they may have had something other than my welfare in mind! The bird in my shot is perched in "leaves" of a palm tree of some sort.

Here the wild swans do not cooperate for near photos. we enjoy them in flight or from a distance on a pond. So good story with your swan.

what a beautiful series!! my swans are always so dirty and brownish. they don't photograph well!!
So pretty! But they can be awfully territorial if you come near their babies!
