What's Growing On Our Five Acres?
Looking through the fence you can see our cucumbers are growing and almost spreading out of their space.
I love the little curly vine beside the cucumber bloom.
The row beside the cucumbers is our tomatoes.
There are little tomatoes.
....and bigger tomatoes. I can hardly wait for them to ripen!
A few weeks ago I posted the blackberry blooms coming through the fence. We've come a long way since that post.
They aren't quite ready for picking; but the blackberry cobbler isn't too far away!
The vines weaves in and out of the fence.
The leaves cascade over the fence.
Behind the fence are the grapes!
Why such a big fence around all this goodness? Deer - they are nibblers!

Hi
Well you certainly won't starve!
Cherry tomatoes are really great, especially in home-made Pea and Ham Soup. An absolute must with the bizarre weather conditions here at present. Brisbane's coldest week for 27 years and still raining.
Yep, I think I would also draw the line with the deer helping themselves, nibbles or too big of a liberal helping - ha ha!
Good luck in the protection business.
Cheers

Your garden looks fantastic, Carletta! It's growing nicely!
I've got cucumbers and tomatoes growing - your cukes are doing great! You have the farmer touch. Gorgeous shots of the produce. I want some grapes now.
What great shots of the growing things! I am so jealous of the cucumbers and tomatoes - we have no room to grow them on our little plot of ground here in the city! But, our blackberries are almost ready - ours weave through the fence too!
We share the same crops with the exception of the blackberries -- our grapes and tomatoes are doing well too. They must like the heat. :)
You have an incredible garden and I must say an exceptional talent of photography. It is all very beautiful. B
I neglected to plant cucumbers this year and I'm really regreting it! Your garden looks great.
Great pictures you show of both tomato / cucumber plants and grapes, etc. Wishing you a good day.
Your garden looks very ell cared for. Nothing tastier than a tomato straight from the garden except maybe those blackberries.
Lots of fresh goodies in your garden ~ Lovely photo shots ~~ thanks, ^_^ (A Creative Harbor)
those berries look wonderful!
oh i'm jealous of your great looking garden!
Your garden looks amazing.
Looks like a great garden and selection!
I enjoyed all these shots, and especially the grape shots. For some reason, shots of grapes always appeals to me.
I hope you'll save some of that blackberry cobbler for me. Your garden looks great. I wish we could put up a big fence around our garden, but that's against the rules.
Absolutely ---a fence is a 'have-to'.... You would be doing nothing but feeding the deer, rabbits, etc. IF you didn't fence...
Great garden... What kind of grapes???? Dad Adams had blackberries growing around his fence at one time also... YUM!!!!
Thanks for sharing. Do both you and hubby tend the garden????
Hugs,
Betsy
I'm jealous... I was too sick to plant this year... your garden looks lush and fertile!
Yep, the curl makes it!
Love the photos! Your garden looks great!
I am limited by too much shade to successfully garden, but you can send some of your veggies and fruits to me if you want! Nice photos....
What a busy fence fence you have there. It really has its work cut out protecting all that grows within.
Oh, yes, one must protect their garden from the ever present deer who like to munch on just about everything!
Looks like your going to be busy very soon putting up all that fresh produce!
Lovely. Your garden and the grapes look delicious.
I can taste that blackberry cobbler now! Mmmm!
Everything looks so lush and green!
Sky & Fence
looks good, I can't wait for the summer veggies.
All your pictures look great-and I know your veggies and fruits are all yummy!
I have a "fence post" this time, too!
i could stand for some fresh veggies & fruits. looks yummy. good. (:
Those are so pretty...and tasty, for sure. I have a garden but is is way behind, humm, maybe it will be ok.
G R A P E S!!! Oh how I'd love some grapes! That's the only thing missing from mom's garden... I don't have room for a garden, so I just admire mom's at the farm... Wonderful looking garden, Carletta, & love the weaving grape vines =)
I totally understand the fence! Look at all that marvelous bounty behind it! Wow! What a wonderful garden. I envy you! I would love to have blackberries and grapes, and well everything looks so yummy. Tomatoes never get ripe fast enough! :-) Keeping those beautiful deer out is so important. So....great fence! :-)
What a beautifully productive garden - you will eat well on that lot. The stout fence is so necessary!
Wow your plants are growing fast and beautiful! The grapes and berries are such a surprise to me ours does not have fruit yet. ^_^ Thanks for the visit!

yoou have a beautiful crop on the way. I envy you.
Your fencing is protecting some great crops--and a lot of hard work, it looks like. In just a few weeks you'd be a great person to visit! :-) Hope you get enough rain to keep things growing.
You're making me hungry! :) I really like the shot of the grapes.
Beautiful garden! Thought of blackberry cobbler has my mouth watering -- the wild ones here are still in the flower stage (we're back in Oregon in our real life).
