Weekend Reflections: By The Creekside

These are some shots I took in early spring and forgot about. What I like most about this reflection shot is the way the tree limbs seemlessly go from shadows at the creekside to reflections in the water.
Downstream a pair of geese were no doubt setting up housekeeping. Well, after all it was spring! If you enlarge this one or look very closely you can see their reflection in the water as well.
Looking upstream! Doesn't that look serene?

  2. I really like the last photo...the dark hues of the branches overhanging the water are such a beautiful contrast to the softness of the scene. It's wonderful enlarged, especially.

  13. That place is serene - thats a lovely photo looking upstream with the branches trailing over the water. Great reflections especially in your first photo with those bare branches reaching out towards the light.

  16. I would like investigating along that creek....is the water level lower this time of year? If so, I bet it would be fun to wade and fish.

  19. Nice Carletta. I like the way the shadows slip into (or appear to) the water too. Yeah, I sort of remember Spring when the world was young and way cooler.
