Ruby Red Watermelon

It sat for weeks in the garden. Getting bigger and bigger.

Finally a thump, thump, thump on the hard shell said it was time for pickin'.

Cutting it in half revealed the sweet pink-red flesh inside.
Prepare for sticky hands, drippy elbows and spitting of seeds.
Yum, Yum, Yum!
Before I bit in I could swear it winked and smiled at me!

This small but delicious watermelon was grown right here Round The Bend.

  23. Did yu feel that you should eat it after it smiled at you? I grew a pimpkin vine, it had 2 pumpkins. i gave one to a friend. The other I kept just to make me happy because I don't eat pumpkins. Not long after, it started to rot. What a waste.
