There's nothing better than fresh blackberries.... Many people like blueberries better---but I love blackberries... I love to go out in the woods and pick the wild ones...They are SO sweet and delicious.
Love the berries. I planted four plants last year. I have a few flowers and berries this year. I need to be patient. Just hope I live long enough to see the Grandkids eating them right from the bushes. Nice Ruby shots.
I posted awhile back about my blackberry briarpatch-- here is the url if you'd like to check it out. http://dustyus.blogspot.com/2010/06/more-brambles-blackberries.html

The ripening berry offers a rainbow of rubies including mauve, pink and purple. Captured at the peak of color, is a pie in the future??

Yum! Ours are still green, but I've got my eye on them!
ReplyDeleteYum -- that does say it all. I miss Oregon, where I'd be picking these pretty soon from our "front yard."
