Weekend Reflections

Mr. Limpet is in my pond!
(much better enlarged)

For those of you too young to remember 'The Incredible Mr. Limpet' was a fantasy movie from the 60's that mixed real-life and animation. Mr. Limpet was played by Don Knotts. Henry Limpet's fondest wish was to be turned into a fish. As a talking fish he assists the US Navy in hunting German submarines during World War II. When I looked at the reflection Mr. Limpet immediately came to mind. I can remember lying on the floor of my parents living room and being mesmerized by his adventure.

  16. Had to be Don Knotts. Nice shot Carletta. Thanks for stopping by. I almost put the third shot first but then I kept the photos in chronological order.

I shot these using Ilford FP4+ B&W film. All 25 shots (I squeezed an extra on the roll) came out. I like to shoot B&W because I don't need to convert and I can process the film myself.

  37. I remember watching that when I was a kid, too.
I cried horribly when he turned back into a fish.
Guess my mind couldn't grasp the fact that he fell in love with a female fish. LOL
