“Let there be many windows to your soul, that all the glory of the world may beautify it."~Ella Wheeler Wilcox
On a recent drive Hubs and I took a drive around the neighborhoods that border our city park. These windows lined one side of a local church. I can only imagine the colors that reflect on the walls inside. I'm thinking on a bright sunny day that might be quite beautiful although a little bit distracting during the sermon. :)

Oh I can just imagine what it must look like with the sun shining through. Magical :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with Thom. I am sure theses glass windows are a lovely addition to the inside lighting.
ReplyDeleteIt must be a pretty sight when the sun shines.
ReplyDeleteThe colors may not be distracting during the sermon - it might even keep the old men and teenagers awake. Great post.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen church windows this beautiful for quite sometime now. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWindows and doors
churches and stained glass windows just seem to go together. These are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteA kaleidoscope of colors is what I think it creates when sun hits those windows.

Carletta,
ReplyDeleteThese are very unusual, and I can imagine - very beautiful with the sun shining through.

Isn't it amazing the effect you can achieve just by using coloured panes, instead of clear glass?
ReplyDeleteLovely shots, Carletta.
As pretty as the windows are, I would love to see the rest of the church. Excellent photos, Carletta! Your frame color is perfect.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Carletta! But the windows panes are gorgeous! Happy Window Views! Come by on Thursday for a Yard Art meme... :)
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful...the distractions would be the right kind of distractions...maybe?

ReplyDeleteHopefully the sun doesn't shine through until late afternoon.
