I took this through my sunroom window so the image is a little grainy when you enlarge it but if you do you can see the cardinal has just about all he can eat crammed in that little orange beak.
That's nice, Carletta, that you can see these guys so good from your sunroom. It looks to me like they are talking with their mouths full. Happy RT! ..
So pretty! Cardinals don't live in the Pacific Northwest, so we never had one on a birdfeeder. But on our first trip East I was so excited to spot my first and I still love to find them when we travel -- they're an exotic species to us! I do miss having bird feeders.
AWww..they are just so cute..what beauties! I love how they turned to face the camera..ha ha..awesome! I love cardinals..but never see any here..so it is a treat to see them! Lovely! Happy RT! Kiki~
I did enlarge it and I did indeed see all the seeds! He sure is greedy! LOL! Although the cardinal is a common bird, I still love to see his flash of red in the trees and bushes!
Very nice birds, but unknown by me. Nice shot/

The Cardinal is a wonderful capture. He knows the best place to rest and eat - just outside your window, of course!
ReplyDeleteNot just one but two happy birds! Love your shot of the cardinal. I have been meaning to do a watercolor painting of a cardinal - such handsome birds.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, lookie. You have my favorite, a cardinal, up. Cheeky little guy on the left moving in too, I see.

Great closeup shot, Carletta. I enlarged it and saw the seeds in the cardinal's beak. I can't tell the photo is through a window.

Very nice my friend. I love it. What a wonderful photo :)
ReplyDeleteI guess the cardinal was afraid you wouldn't refill the feeder and wanted to get as much as he possibly could.
ReplyDeleteA rather full beak, indeed! Great shot! We don't have cardinals here; they are bright and beautiful!

What a beautiful shot. I love the red of the cardinal.
ReplyDeleteI can't put a bird feeder out here - all I'd do is entice the pigeons to keep pooping all over my laundry lines!
Excellent photo. And I just gotta add --- your bird feeder is so 'clean' looking. Ours is grubby all the time with tons of birds. LOL
