It was certainly beginning to look a lot like Christmas on Saturday when we woke to find a dusting of snow on the porch decorations that had just been put up Friday afternoon. I don't know about you but when it snows I'm like a kid again. I love the fluffy stuff. For more Ruby Tuesday join Mary here.
Beautiful...both photos. I especially love the rose in the snow...reminds me of the movie, Phantom of the Opera!!!
ReplyDeleteI posted an ornament...a 50+ year old ornament!
My R T is HERE
very pretty and very festive
ReplyDeleteThey are all beautiful photos. The roses are amazing.

The look of the season is undeniably beautiful, and I imagine the WVA hills look just right in snow! I have mixed feelings about the white precipitation when trying to motor my 'chair in more than 1 inch - but the seasonal beauty of the pure white snow is wonderful. I have to admit that I prefer a four season climate, and Winter and Christmas go together so well...
ReplyDeleteBoth of those shots are beautiful! I LOVE the red against the clean pure white snow!
ReplyDeleteI'm only like a kid with snow when we get a LOT of it! These little messy piddly snows drive me nuts! I want 3 feet ... or none! LOL! Picky, aren't I?
A beautiful dusting you've shown us. We woke up to a dusting Sunday morning here in Connecticut.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind dustings.. but too much snow is not as much fun as it once was.
Happy Ruby Tuesday!
Love the rose on the snow. The bits of white and wet are cool on the warming nature of the red rose.
ReplyDeleteBoth are lovely but it sure looks COLD to me ;-)
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
My Ruby Tuesday
It is okay to be a kid again. Just don't repeat any kid mistakes. :)
ReplyDeleteI like your photos. Thanks for sharing.
that rose is a showstopper.
ReplyDeleteCarletta: Wonderful captures in the snow.
ReplyDeleteExcellent captures. The rose is priceless.
ReplyDeleteYour reds are very beautiful. So full of heart.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason red is the only color I enjoy seeing covered with snow.
ReplyDeleteIt's snowing up here as we speak. Winter has finally arrived.
Happy RT.
Becky
Splendidly Rubilicious!
ReplyDeleteRed is a seasonal color, for sure. And the contrast with white is classic. Nice shots!
ReplyDeleteWe are loving the snow too, but it is almost gone! Your photos are lovely, especially the rose!
ReplyDeleteMy RT
Wow! The red and white are so awesome together! Our snow here was my favorite kind: heavy and wet enough to stick to the trees but leave the roads clear. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI bows to you and your photography.
ReplyDeleteBoth shots, very beautiful. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteCarletta,
ReplyDeleteThese are very beautiful. Love the look of that red rose in the snow...but I would have had to rescue it! :)
...Catching up with you here; I've missed a few posts. Love that shadow picture a lot, too!
I have a RT post up this time! (very busy with other things lately!)

Beautiful photos Carletta! Happy Ruby Tuesday to you...
ReplyDeleteI love the rose photo and the snow lol.
ReplyDeleteStunning!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Snowy Chinese RT
That's really lovely !
ReplyDeleteThese are just stunning. I like this photo of the rose better because of the snow on it. That photo of the rose should be sent into some magazine I tell you. I just love it :)
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty reds in the snow, just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteBTW love your header photo & new life plan.
Thanks for visiting Normandy today.
Maggie
That red rose against the white snow reminds me of a fairy tale: "Rose Red and Snow White"! Beautiful and intriguing! Thanks so much for sharing and have a happy Ruby Tuesday! Coralie
ReplyDeleteThe red bow and rose are so pretty with snow on them! It doesn't snow in my area, but I get to enjoy it through blogland. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm on my way to the florist for a red rose.
ReplyDeleteLovely photo with the rose. Seeing the snow makes me shiver, though.
ReplyDeleteRed looks great on a white background. No snow here yet; it is far too warm.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos, Carletta! I like the contrasts with the snow and with the grey tones.
ReplyDeleteThe rose is stunning, not only in its form, but also in the way you captured it. I like the effects of the snow and the tiny droplets. Beautiful.
Oh wow! they are all so beautiful what a great contrast. The rose is pretty looking lying in that snow. Ha, I'm missing the snow...I do like to play too.
ReplyDeleteBoth precious-looking photos.
ReplyDeletePaz
really beautiful
ReplyDeleteI love the snow in the folds of the bow
Pst... psssssst... *whispers* ... Carletta! You're the new winner of the day 6 contest over at Thoms! Go see. And email him - don't forget that part! ... tip toes out....
ReplyDeleteLovely and delicate shots, simply beautiful...
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful Christmas pictures. I love the contrast of the red and snow. These are perfect for Ruby Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. I love the rose against the snow and the wreath ribbon. Glad you are enjoying the snow.
ReplyDeleteThat rose is so beautiful in the snow, and emotion rises too. I really like this photo.
ReplyDeleteWonderful captures, Carletta!! Simple and elegant. I can't make up my mind which one I like the most. The rose is stunning but there's just something about a snow-covered bow that really makes it feel like Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI'm also like a kid when it snows. I've been known to run outside with my camera...without coat, hat or gloves. They promised us snow two weekends in a row and didn't deliver. Thank you for providing my snow fix!
