The First Dandelion and Some Friends

(Enlarge for best viewing)
This past week the first dandelion showed up on the warm side of the house. I didn't know until Iuploaded the photos that even if I wasn't overjoyed to see this bright spot of yellow some little winged buddies were feeling very mellow about its appearance!

I'd like to thank all of those who stopped by and left comments and condolences about the passing of my sister-in-law. My husband and I both thank you for your thoughts and compassion during our time of grief. It's wonderful to have such a warm 'family' of such caring friends. Many Blessings to you all!

  7. Dandelions are called weeds but I think they are beautiful yellow flowers. That can pop in multiple different places. Without having to be planted there by a human being.

  9. I like the name "dandelion". In Swedish the same flower has a much more "down-to-earth-and-don't-forget-that-you-are-a-weed" name (maskros = "worm-rose")

  16. I dandelion is a sign of life. It survives in a world that doesn't like it and doesn't want it. It goes on despite horrible odds against it. It even , if you look and you did , brings a littly beauty into the world.
