It's time for Ruby Tuesday and time to post a photo with a little red or a lot of red.A few days ago it was a beautiful spring day and I took the Jeep out for a ride. I had a barbecue lunch across from this old building. At one time it was used as a warehouse; but has been restored and turned into an apartment building with these red doors that lead to nowhere. Originally I thought I would use this partial shot of the building for a Sepia Scenes post but I wasn't happy with it. I had taken the shot in the bright sun and it seemed washed out. So, I played around with my software and this is the result - a much brighter Ruby Tuesday post!

ReplyDeleteIf I lived there, I'd have to build a small balcony there. Nothing big, just like the Spanish ones, with a place for a chair and a woman with a fan.
I like you pic. I also like than buildings are being recycled, and not left empty.

ReplyDeleteThe 'doors to nowhere' probably opened up to reveal a hoist to lift things to be manufactured on the floors...It is a shame that the developer didn't build a deck at the door for the lucky renter of that unit...

I love the way that you edited the picture it really gave it character. Doors to nowhere I have seen this before. I like to think they work as a portal to a quiet place like a deserted beach in guam. Great post Carletta.

I like either version...I am kind of partial to those doors that lead to nowhere. I can't help but think if it were me, I would have to keep something sitting in front of them on the inside or I might forget and step out one of them.
