  10. Lovely shots as always. And you were up at dawn! Maybe if I keep revising my sleep cycle, I'll manage a dawn photo one of these days. Don't bank on it, though. I decided to join in for sky watch this week.

  27. Looks like an exclamation point in that last shot, which is fitting.

I hadn't really thought about the difference between a no-fly zone and temporary flight restriction. (Actually I'd never heard the latter term until you mentioned it) But you're correct, the exclusion zone was temporary. I'd seen contrails directly overhead before the day of the rally, and since then as well (including today actually). In any case, they weren't letting anyone even get close on that day. And I probably wouldn't have noticed it if somebody else at the rally hadn't pointed it out.

  40. Very nice sunrise ! I never could watch a sunset or sunrise in Egypt, it was suddenly sunny or suddenly dark in a few minutes !

  41. Great shots. I'll bet those pilots were enjoying watching that sun rise. :-)

In reply to your comment on my photo, it's just lush and green in some places. Most of our hills and mountains are brown and in desperate need of rain.
