Sky Watch Friday

These were the skies over my head on Monday as I stood in my back yard.
The tiger grass blew gently in the wind as it stretched toward the sky.

(Click on the badge at the top of my post to see more sky views from all around the world.
I'm posting this even earlier than normal because Blogger has a lot of issues today and I've had problems loading images for days. This will be a 'miracle post' if it works! ;)

  1. I wondered if you were still having problems. I had to do some errands and when I came home, I clicked on new post, and it finally has the right time and date.

Glad you got your post up...I really like them both but especially the top one.

  19. Hi Carletta, I thought I'd come back here and answer your question about the water tower advertising Lucky Strike cigarettes. The tobacco companies are gone from Durham, NC but the area where they had their plants and warehouses has been reclaimed for mixed use with a water park in the middle, stores, radio station, and companies. But it's called the American Tobacco Campus and they keep the towers and even lucky strike smoke stack as a nod to the the history of the area. It is kind of odd but there is no denying that tobacco was once a big industry in the area. I'm glad they are gone but like what has been done in the area.
