Last week I had stopped at the local pharmacy to grab a paper. As I was looking toward the store I could see the brightly colored chute above the rooftops and I began frantically grabbing my camera from its case just in time to catch this sight against a beautiful blue sky.
As it happens I had taken this a few weeks ago. This cafe is just across the street and down from the pharmacy. It seems very appropriate to post them at the same time.Keep Your Eyes On The Skies
Please click on the badge at the top of my post to see more skies from around the world.
Looks like fun. I've watched them fly in different areas where I've lived and it alwyas makes me want to go and fly. Pappy
ReplyDeleteYou captured it nicely :)
ReplyDelete"Keep Your Eyes On The Skies"
ReplyDeleteI copied this advise! I always look at the skies since I joined Sky Watch! Beautiful photos!
I like that first shot!!! Totally cool:) Mine is posted HERE too. Happy SWF!~
ReplyDeleteSkies that are blue and fun! Nice post.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot to catch. So colorful and exciting.
ReplyDeleteThe sky is beautiful! That little bike with a parachute makes me nervous;)
ReplyDeleteMarnie
Lovely capture, Carletta! I love the colors against the AMAZING blue sky! WOW!
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun! Albeit dangerous.
ReplyDeleteHey, thanks for the badge-link tip. I tried it out and it worked just fine!
Airborn and with wheels.Great photos:o)
ReplyDeleteThose two photos do seem to go together. Great entries for Sky Watch.
ReplyDeletevery cool pictures!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have seen madmen and women in these flimsy looking machines many times when out and about and I always stand and stare at them... I marvel at their antics and of couse their nerve as well.
ReplyDeleteThank you for being out there Carletta and for joining in here again... you really are a favourite blogger of many.
Fun post. :) Love the bright colors against the blue sky. Great capture!
ReplyDeleteNo way could I do that lol.Well caught and very enjoyable post.
ReplyDeleteCool finds. How was the burger?
ReplyDeleteI always wantd to try flying! Love the colorful glider on the blue sky! Happy skywatching!
ReplyDeleteViennadaily
Would you have the nerve to ride in one of those? I think I would, but then again, I am not so sure. The farmer whose property my husband hunts on has one of these.
ReplyDeleteLuckily you had your camera with you! The glider is so cheerful in the pure-blue sky. Happy Sky Watch!
ReplyDeleteWhy I maostly have a camera with me. A fabulous catch.
ReplyDeleteThese are fun. I like the "frantically grabbing my camera" note. Good job!
ReplyDeleteCarletta,
ReplyDeleteGreat capture!
Yes, if want to see the world, look up!
Thanks for visiting my blog.

Reminds me of a rainbow, one of my favorite things.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, the second picture definitely fits.
yep, looks good from here.
ReplyDeleteGreat capture. Seen one a couple times near our local Barnes & Noble but it never comes close enough to photo like yours.
ReplyDeleteThe first one is great and so colourful!!
ReplyDeleteThe first photo is a very good capture! Have a nice Friday and week-end! :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat capture Carletta! Yes keep your eyes on the sky! But if your on the road it helps to keep our eyes on the road too. :)
ReplyDeleteWell you did good. I usually miss those shots.
ReplyDeleteYou won't get me up in one of those things!! Great shot. The best photos are unplanned.
ReplyDeleteHappy SWF
I always wonder about those people who are riding their bikes in the sky. I wonder if it's as scary as I think it might be. I'd love to be looking down, but just from something more secure, I think. Nice shots - both of them!
ReplyDeleteCool shot that top one - I'd love to do that. Nice framing of the sign in the bottom shot. Lovely captures as always.
ReplyDeleteVery cool!
ReplyDeletePaz
The sign and the "flying machine" are a great match-up, and perfect for SkyWatch.
ReplyDeleteCapturing the moment so often gives us a much better shot than all the time and arrangement in the world.
ReplyDeleteWeeeee!!!! I'll be pretty thrilled to ever have the chance to try out a parachute. Nice capture of it you've got :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Skywatch!!
Our friend has one of these and he loves it, spends his winters in AZ and boondocks in his MCI coach and flies his machine. Lovely photo
ReplyDeleteGreat capture. Thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteHi Carletta, I like your flying machine in the sky. Your local airport must have a group of those who fly these ultra lights. We had a group like that back in the 80's at our Pearland airport.
ReplyDeleteI like my reflection in the pond in the bend of the creek too, thank you for your nice comment about it.
I noticed you had some very nice reflection pictures last Wednesday.
Happy Skywatching!
..
lovely blue sky
ReplyDeleteWow.... what a cool thing to see... and a great picture. I can't believe it's already Friday. This week flew by.
ReplyDeletebrilliant captures!!
ReplyDeleteWonder what the brothers would say about that... 'G'us a go !'
ReplyDeleteHi Carletta, it's been a while, I've been so busy with all tje pictures I took in Lissabon, that I had hardly time to visit my friends!
ReplyDeleteLovely Skywatch post!
Very nice picture ! but I wouldn't like to be in the place of the first one, lol !
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures, nice captured. A specially the first one.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful ride that must be in such a colourful sky ride!
ReplyDeleteMen and their flying machines, indeed! I have too good a relationship with the ground under my feet to be tempted to try this! Great stuff, friend.
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't even know where this Wright Brother's Cafe is.
ReplyDeleteThe chute really stands out against the sky! Love the photo with the sign! I've always been partial to pictures of signs (and lamp posts) - the only reason I can come up with is because they're all unique. Great captures, Carletta!
ReplyDeleteCarletta,
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool shot! It's just perfect!
Junie
Clever post and beautiful photo of the sky! Nice work~thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLove both these photos, but particularly enjoyed the colorful contrast of the parachute against the sky.
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect sign to follow the glider? Or was that a parachuter?
ReplyDeleteIn any case ..perfect!
:-Daryl
