I remember a long time ago one of the big magazines showed some barns painted in Pennsylvania and each had an explanation of why it was painted the way it was.
When I first saw your beautiful photos, I remembered that article. Thanks for bringing those memories back.
Every time I see quilt barn photos I think it'd be so neat to see one for real, but alas I never have come across one. I'll keep looking though...in the meantime, I'm enjoying yours. :-) Happy WW.

Those patterns on the barns are really neat, and a great fine! The third barn pattern looks almost fake because of the way it seems to float so cleanly against the old wood behind it, but don't worry, I believe it's real. ;)

When I saw the first photo I thought to myself "I've never seen such a thing"...then I started reading comments, guess I'm not the only one. What a great idea, I'm more of a painter than a quilter - that would be right up my alley.
