Pond Reflections

This is one of two ponds in my yard. I'm sure you see one of the goldfish happily swimming around. Yes, a little weeding could be done; but I like the natural look and try not to make it look too perfect. In the reflection image you can see the garage window and a white star that hangs on the garage wall. If you enlarge the image look for the frog that is beside the rock under the tree.
The evening's sunset is reflected in the garage window reflected in the pond!

  1. What a wonderful little pond. I love the reflection within the reflection in the second shot. Very cool. Took me a while to find that frog, but just when I was about to give up, there he/she was.

Your yard looks so beautiful and you have such wonderful guests - frogs and turkeys and deer. Very cool.

  6. Hi Carletta,
I'm sorry I've not been around as much, my blogging is suffering as a result of a few things going on here at this time.... I was pleasedto see your name in my comments this morning.. and thought I'd nip over and catch up... love the reflections you have here. The garden in my posts will be featured all week and really is a place of relaxation and peace.
    All the best

  7. Love your little pond, Carletta, and the reflections in it!

We, too, have a pond but it's not so near the house so I have reflections of the sky in mine.

  12. You must live just this side of heaven, so much beauty surrounds you.

I have to admit though when I first looked at the picture, by brain was having a bit of trouble processing, and I thought I was looking into a hole! The tree was messing with my mind because it seemed to be growing the wrong way. Finally I blinked my eyes, cleared my thoughts (read what you wrote) and ... what an amazing, crisp, clear reflection!

  16. I dearly want a pond in my yard. Do yours have pumps? Or do you just let them do their thing? This one looks very clean.
