"Going Down That Long Lonesome Highway"This motorcycle was sitting outside the restaurant when I took the Black-eyed Susan photo last Thursday that I used for my Take Two shot. Cris posted her motorcycle that day and I commented to her she would probably see mine later. This is it. I really liked that this bike was so shiny that the nearby grass and the blue sky reflected really well. I took a couple of photos and the whole time I was hoping the owner wouldn't come out and wonder what I was doing around his bike.
For all you young readers the quote is from a song that played on an old TV show called Then Came Bronson and starred Michael Parks. He rode a Harley looking for what life put in his path. Parks sang the music track over the ending credits for the show. It was one of my favorite old shows I looked forward to each week all those years ago when I was in high school. We just won't say how many. No fair Googling!
JC, I think this would be a great accessory for your leather jacket.! And Dot, I hope you're reading this today. It has your name on it that I found when I downloaded the photo.

You sure that's a motorcycle and not an easy chair with dashboard controls? My first car was a motorcycle and it looked nothing like that!

ReplyDeleteHarley fans gathered in Barcelona for three days but I wasn't there to take a picture, I wanted to very badly but the crowd (more than 15,000 expected motorbikes) and the summer heat talked me out of it!

ReplyDeleteAlso, the song playing, Born To Run, takes me back quite a few years. It came out not too long after I moved to Indiana and started working at CBS. It was one of the albums we made....I was quality control in 8-track tapes. Remember them?

Now the thing about these Tour Bikes with LUGGAGE racks is... they're NOT motorcycles! They're volkswagons with the shell removed! Little wannabe SUV's! How can you ride free as the breeze carryin' all that extra luggage!? LOL! Well... that's beside the point isn't it? It worked for YOUR purposes which was photographing something BLACK (and shiny!). And you did it well! (you know... hubby owns bikes... can't help it if I'm a bike snob... *shrug*)
