Happy Father's Day
This is a picture of me on my Daddy's lap when I was all of two months old. Dad passed away almost twelve years ago. I miss him greatly.
To all the men in my life who are Dads, and that includes those of you who visit me here, I wish you much happiness on this day. Celebrate and enjoy your children! My favorite quote on fathers is this:
"Anyone can be a father; but it takes someone special to be a Daddy."
Mine was special.
Camera-Critters Sunday is hosted by Misty Dawn. Be sure to click on the link to see other participants who are posting their favorite critters today. You never know what you will find!Today I thought I would show you some recent photos of my new neighbors who've moved into the neighborhood these past few weeks.
I just love these little guys! They stay pretty close to their Mamas.

Thank you!! What a beautiful baby with a handsome Daddy!! My father died in '96, and I miss him greatly, as well! This is a wonderful tribute to your Dad, I'm sure he would be touched by it!
ReplyDeleteNice critters, too!!
Honor your father and your mother so that all may go well with you and your days may be long.
ReplyDeleteYour "Daddy" picture made me laugh ! He holds you as if you were something very breakable, lol ! He apparently wasn't used to holding babies ! Today's daddies are different. Mine has never been a daddy so I don't even think of father's day !
ReplyDeleteThe critter babies are all adorable !
What a wonderful tribute to your father. The image is great and your writing is quite touching. I'm looking forward to my first Father's Day tomorrow. :)

ReplyDeleteThanks for the Happy Father's Day wishes. My pop died from cancer the same year Patty and I got married. He died in June and we got married in July. Now we have kids over 50. Think of that. And I am celebrated with a gift of Rheumatoid Arthritis that popped up three months ago: The ultimate gift to old people.
ReplyDeleteI hear the birds: Carolina Wrens, Cardinals, Robins, Grackles; all signing. The sky is getting light in the East. Soon morning will be upon us and it will be another hot day in the midwest.
