Wild Bird Wednesday: A Tufted Titmouse.....

.....perched on a flower pot filled with snow.
It was the driest place he could find while he waited his turn to the seed I had thrown out on the deck.

As I get ready for bed it is currently -3 degrees with a wind chill of -21 degrees and the night is young.  I know it will be worse for some of you. Everyone be mindful of conditions and take good care.

Weather is relative. We get used to the normal conditions we have. So look after your birds and keep on taking pictures.

The Tufted Titmouse is #1 on cuteness. They always take great pictures ... so photogenic. You are right, many of us are suffering this cold spell and we all need to be careful when going out. Frostbite is very unpleasant ... Thank you for your thoughts and I too am "Forever in Blue Jeans!"

This is a wonderful capture. It is at least above zero here...the weather just said it got down to 15 below last night. It was negative 11 this morn...but actually got to 10 above today.

I don't know how birds get through nights like that - I can only hope that they have no concept of time!!
